Design & Engineering
The Norseman design team has devoted relentless efforts to create new models that are superior in design, both in terms of performance and efficient use of valuable space.
Norseman also customizes yachts for the clients to create fine yachts that are tailor-made to meet their personal preference and requirements. With the aid of modern technology, and the data base generated on each of the new designs, our engineering team can create accurate 3-D models for the client’s approval on each custom modification.
The hull designs were tested with computer simulation program and /or with scaled models in the test tank to generate data to estimate the yacht’s performance under various conditions. Our engineers specify suitable engines, electrical & mechanical components from proven and reputable manufacturers to ensure that these components are the most suitable choice for the yacht’s particular application.
Craftsmanship
Our Taiwan Shipyard, located in Anping harbor, was founded in 1952. A team of highly skilled craftsmen and technicians take great pride in the creation of each yacht. Each Norseman yacht is hand built to a uniquely personal specification. Before delivery, each yacht will be sea-trialed to ensure proper performance of every component.
Heritage
Our pride, passion and commitment to create the finest yachts available are reflected in every aspect of Norseman Yachts. This is why many of existing Norseman Yachts commands some of the highest resale values of its class in the industry today. Norseman 400, 447 and 535 models, from the 1970’s, are still highly sought after sailing vessels. These designs are timeless, even by today’s standards. Many of them are still in excellent condition and maintaining their value. This heritage serves as great evidence of Norseman Yachts continued pursuit of excellence in design, construction and customer satisfaction.
Current models
The classic motor yachts range from 48 to 56 in length. Currently, 2 models are available: N480 and N560. These popular, timeless classics are engineered with the modern 3D software as an effort to make most efficient use of the interior space available.
The new pilot house motor yachts range from 50 to 100 in length. These new yachts have beautiful lines and graceful curves while cleverly maximizing the utilization of available interior space. Even on the yachts with the sky lounge option, the enclosed hardtop on the fly bridge is already a part of the design element at the development stage, so it is a beautiful, integral part of the yacht.
